Done with leaves! Liquor, please!
I woke up this morning and opened the bedroom door to the sight of my hungry, little cat begging for her breakfast. As the coffee brewed, I looked outside to the sight of – YEEEEECH!! – a yard full of leaves!
I do love it here in Michigan, but this is one chore I absolutely despise every fall. No matter how many leaves you rake, it seems to be a never-ending battle. Once the leaves are done, the bags are all filled and at the curb for pickup.
Done with the leaves! Give me some liquor, please!
It’s time to pour yourself a drink, sit by the nice, warm fire, and look out at your nice, clean yard.
Here are drinks to enjoy now that the battle of the leaves is over:
A creamy, earthy, floral and nutty cream liqueur. Made from eastern spices and ultra-premium Caribbean rum with pure dairy cream.
Try this recipe:
Line a Martini glass with chocolate syrup. In a shaker, add ice, 3 oz. SomruS and 1 oz. of Kahlua. Shake and serve.
Heritage Brown Sugar Bourbon
New at Nino’s, this is a blend of corn/rye and malted barley, aged two years in oak barrels, with natural brown sugar and cinnamon flavors added. Try it in a shot or in your favorite hot beverage.
An Italian liqueur made with brandy, Mediterranean citrus and vanilla. Try a Tuscan Mule.
2 oz. Tuaca
6 oz. Ginger beer
Squeeze a lime into a copper mug filled with ice. Drop a lime into the mug, add the Tuaca and top with ginger beer. Stir and enjoy.
